Terms of Service — VIN Checker

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VIN Checker ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, you may not use our services. We may modify these terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.

2. Description of Service

VIN Checker provides vehicle history reports based on Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN). Our reports compile data from public and private databases, including but not limited to title history, odometer readings, accident records, theft status, and salvage records. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data.

3. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.

4. Payments and Refunds

Reports are purchased on a per-report or subscription basis. All prices are displayed before checkout and exclude applicable taxes. Payments are processed securely via our payment partners. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion if a report cannot be generated due to a technical issue on our end. No refunds are provided for user errors such as incorrect VIN entry.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse our services. Prohibited activities include: scraping or automated data extraction, reverse engineering, interfering with service operation, using the service for unlawful purposes, and reselling reports without authorization. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and materials on VIN Checker are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. Vehicle history reports purchased by you are for personal use only.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data is fully accurate. Vehicle history reports are compiled from third-party sources and should not be the sole basis for any purchase decision. Always inspect a vehicle and verify information independently.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VIN Checker and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific report or subscription giving rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Estonia.
